A friend of mine worked for SK-II for a number of years and strongly believed in the product. After she recommended a few products, and got me started with a skin care routine, I fell in love with the brand and its products.
Hailing from Japan, SK-II’s concept is about crystal-clear skin and its products are designed to do just this. I wanted to share my favourite products in the SK-II range.
SK-II Facial Treatment Cleanser ($80.00AUD) ★★★★★
Wow! I did not have any expectations when I decided to try SKII’s Facial Treatment Cleanser but I would have to say it is my personal favourite. It’s a multi-purpose product, the mousse formula smells good, it feels invigorating on the skin, and leaves my skin soft and squeaky clean. It especially impressed me when it helped bring a massive whitehead to the surface – it had been stuck in there for months! MAGIC!

The squeeze bottle is a generous size and hygienic too. It’s perfect for everyday use and easy to pack when travelling. I would definitely purchase again in future!
SK-II Facial Treatment Essence ($95.00AUD) ★★★
Friends rave about Facial Treatment Essence, so I was super keen to use it. However, the scent put me off this product almost instantly and I did not enjoy the watery texture because it is hard to apply and really needs to be applied with cotton pads. I would have enjoyed the product more (and probably given it the time of day) it if were gel or cream. I admit I did not find a big difference after using this for three months but my skin was left in good condition. The packaging is slimline and the design is simple.
SK-II Facial Treatment Masks ($132.00AUD for 6 masks) ★★★★
Dry, parched, tiresome skin in need of a salon treatment from home? Look no further because here it is. SK-II Facial Treatment Masks are cooling, soothing and really, really hydrating. In fact, each sheet mask is so cooling they feel as though they have just come out of the fridge. The result? My skin feels soft and very plump after each use… I enjoyed them so much that my partner decided to try them out! The only down side is they can make me feel a little claustrophobic because the sheet mask does not always fit the ridges of my face. If used too often followed by a rich moisturiser, you may find that you break out (as I did).
