Gucci’s creative director, Frida Giannini, shares with WWD who released the details (I’ve been sitting on them for a little while now under embargo) that the Garden Collection spans the five most important blossoms depitcted on an iconic Gucci scarf designed by Vittorio Accornero for Princess Grace in the Sixties. “It’s a sort of bouquet of scents,” said Giannini.

And they dovetail from Flora by Gucci (which Abbey also is the face of – check our review here), the blockbuster women’s scent introduced in 2009 with Gucci beauty licensee Procter & Gamble Prestige. And as for the campaign, Giannini said the concept behind it was:

“Basically, the idea was a sort of labyrinth where this woman was playing or walking or just sitting on the green,” explained Giannini.

These divine fragrances won’t be on our counters until April 8th, and will come in 50ml and 100ml eau de toilette and a 200ml body lotion … I’ll have more detailed information for you then, there are more campaign images to come and the fragrances are as beautiful as they sound!

We got to ask Jen a few questions about the new collection:

Sassi: What are your favourite pieces from this collection?

Jen: The new Lovable AW12 range really is a gorgeous collection; the colour palette is much richer than last season, with beautiful hues of grape, pink, grey’s and mushroom. The pretty prints and black lace sets are my favorites! Shooting a new collect is always exciting, I enjoy shooting lingerie, it’s fun! We pump the music up and dance around – it all feels kind of wrong doing it in knickers but oh so fun! At the end of the day I leave with a box of product so my wardrobe is nearly made up completely of Lovable & Cozi. I need more room I think, ha!

Sassi: So what do you look for in your lingerie?

Jen: I like to feel like I’m wearing nothing – so the fit of a garment is paramount. It’s great because Lovable always use incredible fabrics and lace and their main focus is the fit of the bra so they are comfortable but also sexy- perfect !

Sassi: You’ve been a long-term Ambassador for Lovable, how long has it been and why do you love Lovable so much?

Jen: Lovable has been such a great partnership. I signed in 2007 and five years later I am still excited to be working on the brand – it feels wonderful that they believe in me. I do love lingerie and I love what Lovable stands for as a brand so it’s a great fit ! Lovable garments are very comfortable and I can say I definitely feel sexier when I’m wearing a matching lovable set – it puts me in a cheeky mood- Gotta love that!  We shot the website shots & I am shooting the campaign in February and I can’t wait – I’ve started working out like crazy that’s for sure!

Sassi: Lingerie needs TLC to make them last, how do you care for your lingerie?

Jen: Lovable garment’s are really durable so nothing special to be honest, I put them in a separate mesh bag and put the washer on gentle or hand wash them.

It is all very soft and very sweet, yet at the same time very bold and very graphic.”

“The whole ambiance is very pretty, very special and very magical,” says Marc Jacobs, “and I’m sure it will look just delicious and fresh come the spring.”

Kate Beckinsale kicks butt as death dealer Selene in the fourth instalment of the Underworld franchise; Underworld: Awakening. The return of the leather clad, gun welding Vampire on 3D film is probably the most entertaining in the series yet.

If you believe Underworld mythology, arch enemies Vampires and Lycans (which are for better or worse werewolves) have been viciously battling it out under human noises for centuries. But now civilisation has discovered their existence and Awakening kicks off with a mass purge, cities declaring martial law as they try to eradicate the waring un-dead.

Captured trying to save her lover Michael from extermination, Selene wakes up twelve years later, having been cryogenically frozen by medical research institute Antigen (run by new baddie Stephen Rea) as they work on developing a vaccine. Breaking free, Selene tries to find Michael but instead discovers a young Vampire- Lycan hybrid (India Easley) who claims that Selene is her mother.

Fans will notice that Scott Speedman doesn’t return the flesh out his role as Michael. Instead Selene finds help in human detective Michael Ealy, and Theo James, who plays a member of a small Vampire clan that has managed to survive the cleansing.

Underworld: Awakening isn’t exactly heavy on plot. Really it’s just an excuse for eighty-eight minutes of fight scenes. But, what impressive fight scenes they are.

Inventive choreography combined with impressive CGI make for jaw dropping action, especially when it’s playing out in a 3D cinema. It’s spectacular battle after spectacular battle, and the last thing Mårlind and Stein give you is a moment to stop and breathe. The explosions are bigger and better then ever, and the bloodlust just as potent. Vampires are never going to sparkle in the sunlight in this dark fandom.

And fans of this darker breed can rest easy. The story is left wide open for a fifth film, and Beckinsale has hinted at the possibility of reprising the role of Selene once again during recent interviews.

Possibilities of a follow up can only be compounded by the enduring profitability of the franchise. Underworld: Awakening slaughtered other films at the US box office, taking top spot and over $25 million on opening weekend.

Now to find out how Australian fans will respond.

Englishman David (Samuel) meets the love of his life, Mia (Brent), a cashed up Aussie gal, whilst on holiday overseas and to the horror of all his friends, he gets engaged and is not just basking in a holiday fling. A Few Best Men stars Kris Marshall from Death at a Funeral and he brings his usual English lad antics to the forefront as one of the highly unsuitable ‘best men’ at poor David’s wedding in the beautiful Blue Mountains. The picturesque setting with some unlikely characters such as Mia’s questionable sister Daphne (Wilson) and their Mum played by Australia’s sweetheart Olivia Newton-John.

The pressure is on when David has to prove himself to Mia’s family; however, they only get to meet him the day before the wedding. Everything starts to go pear shaped when David’s three best mates inflict their idea of ‘fun’ on the unsuspecting family. A range of hilarious incidents occur leaving the nuptials in a constant state of stress.

This is one wedding I would love to have gone to, just for the entertainment factor. Everything from the heavily featured Ram behind the Man to the quirky band and, of course, what disaster wedding would be complete without the completely inappropriate Best Man’s speech! The film doesn’t quite ‘hit’ it on all counts but there are some lovely scenes that keep you giggling throughout. Great to have Liv back on our screens and Rebel is going to be a featured favourite in Aussie cinema for sure.

For a bit of a laugh and an Aussie style Hangover with stunning terrain, then this is a must.

“There’s a plane that was built inside the hangar and we shoot all the plane interiors there … and we use digital effects to make it look like wherever it is we’re supposed to be going.”

They spend 17 hours a day on set and Christina loves to play ‘dead’ on set all the time sharing:

“It’s a 17-hour day. That’s when most of the fun stuff happens, when you’re on the plane… And being in those costumes you really feel silly anyway, so I started a photo series called ‘Dead Stewardess’, where I will randomly throw myself into different positions in different parts of the plane and pretend I’m dead, and my dresser takes pictures.”

The release is the first in a series of especially commissioned new recordings of classic Kylie songs, recorded at the legendary Abbey Road Studios. Further tracks will be made available periodically throughout the year. The songs Kylie has recorded are a surprise and will be revealed on the day they become available.

Kylie will be asking her fans to ‘tweet to unlock’ the video and they need 25,000 people to tweet #k25fans before the video will be ‘unlocked’ and available for everyone to view.
